Lance Armstrong

Men’s Health writer, Christopher McDougall writes about the elusive determination of the seven-time Tour de France winner and cancer survivor.  There is great insight into what drives Armstrong, how hard he trains, and how committed he is to winning the global fight against cancer.  Lance’s foundation, Livestrong, which began during his three year absence from cycling between 2001 and 2003, has grown from a tiny venture in an Austin, Texas office park into a multimillion dollar, international campaign to eliminate cancer.  A quote from the article confirms Armstrong’s dedication:

“In fact, Lance is so determined in his grudge match against the disease that he’s targeting not just one kind of cancer in just one country-he’s taken on the nearly unimaginable tasking of fighting it in every corner of the planet.”
