Miami Heat Support the Buoniconti Fund

Posted on: March 19, 2010

On March 12, at a game against the Chicago Bulls, Nick Buoniconti (NFL Hall of Famer and former Middle Linebacker for the Dolphins) along with his son Marc (who was paralyzed after a tackle while playing college football for Citadel in 1985), and Dwayne Wade made a special halftime presentation to recognize the fight to Cure Paralysis.

Also, in support of the cause, the Heat donated a portion of online ticket proceeds to The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis / The Miami Project while each ticket purchaser was entered into a halftime drawing for great prizes such as a LeBron James autographed shoe.

Our hats go off to the Heat for their giving! See link for more info: http://www.miamiproject.miami.edu/Page.aspx?pid=540
