Former NBA player launches program to help fellow retired players

Charles Smith, former member of the New York Knicks, has started an expansive program on the welfare of retired players for the NBA.  The program is called TAP, which stands for Transition Assist Program, and will offer personal and financial counseling to former players : http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/11/sports/basketball/11smith.html?_r=1
